Stars celebrate finished activities; they do not measure mastery. There is no race against a clock, and it is always fine to stop.
Sound: Hope narration. Letter names, individual letter sounds, picture words and narration use saved Hope recordings. The large letter plays its name, then its sound. The two small listening buttons replay each separately. Everyday words may use your device voice if a recording cannot play. Letter names and sounds use recordings only. Listen together to explore the sounds. Q is introduced with U; X is heard at the end of box, fox, or six. Umbrella begins with short U; unicorn begins with “yoo.”
For ages 3–6, in US English. This is introductory letter play, not a full reading course. A gift may also be called a present, an iguana a lizard, and a quarter a coin. Introduce the picture’s name together before practicing its sound.
